Getting Ready

Wednesday, July 22, 2009

Hello again,

We are getting closer and closer till the adventure begins! All of us are getting very very excited. I was at Barnes and Nobels recently with Maha and we found a really cool new program. How it works is you download the technology onto your ipod, and it works like a playlist and is basicaly a dicionary on your ipod. This will come in very handy in China helping us with our Mandrin.

Recently, we had one of our last China meetings before we leave. Our whole families got together and we talked more and more about the trip. We went over the packing lists and what are good things to bring. What a chore packing will be since we have to carry all of our luggage. Hopefully we bring all the right things. This china party was a lovley night, its so much fun all getting to know eachother better and eachothers families. Plus my mom made some delicouse food which is always good:)

I also want to thank all of you for following my blog. Hopefully you will really enjoy following my trip and learning more and more about China with me!

I also included a photo of all of us girls at prom and will be adding more pics soon!

Hi, Becca!
Sounds like you are about ready for you China Adventure. Please double check your packing list to make sure you have everything.

I have never been to China, but I am sure it will be a rewarding experience. I am glad to hear you will be using technilogical devices as you navigate thru your trip. Technology is great!

I work with Ms. Sullivan throught the NJ Discovery Education Network Leadership Council. I have heard so much about your preparation.

Please enjoy your journey and I will follow your blog. Just promise to include many details because I have a 7yr old son that I will be teaching about blogging by followning this China Adventure Blog.

Thanks,
Tonya Wilson, NJ DEN LC Events Team

Hi, Becca,

Your excitement jumps out of your post and just spills over us with the best form of contagious spirit. You impress me with the fact that you have two posts even before you leave for China.

I will be following your blog posts, and like Tonya wilson, I am hoping you will post photos and wonderful details. I have a vested interest because I know Ms. Sullivan and Ms. Mortensen, Mr. Harvey, as well as Mr. Controy through the Discovery Educator Network Leadership Council, and this trip is the only one to have the East Coast represented (Sullivan, Controy).

Have a wonderful experience. You are America's young ambassadors and Discovery Education's as well (and future DEN STARS, I'll bet). I will look forward to learning about you and your China experience.

Thanks,
RJ Stangherlin
